Dissecting Tori Amos' lyrics...

any other Tori fans around? Lately I have been "Googling" phrases from her lyrics. At first I just sang along with the songs but there comes a point where you desperately want to discover the meanings. If you're a fan of hers too, you know what I mean Wink
Like, the last phrase I looked up was: "trusting my soul to the ice-cream assassin", apparently this meant she trusted her soul to God...

Yeah, I've always liked Tori Amos also. She's has a real unique sound to her music, which is cool. I never understood anything she was talking about really... well except for her cover songs, haha. But I don't generally care to much, a good song to me is one that the most people can relate to. Best way to do that is use lots of ambiguity and strange metaphors. Tori does that nicely Smile. But i guess sometimes when you get interested in the person rather than just the music you want to go beyond that and learn more about the person through their music. Anyway, good luck with your search.
