MSN Messenger is now Windows "Live" Messenger, part of a larger suite of new Live products being marketed by Microsoft. For those who have beta tested Windows Live Messenger, you may have noticed the new feature that enables users to create a Sharing Folder by simply dragging files onto a contact name in Messenger.
Another addition is the look and feel of the names within the contact list and the additional information provided when you roll over the name with your mouse.
Then there is also a new feature that enables users to get live, full-screen (640x480) video, with fully synchronized audio, during video conferencing with members on your contact list.
Lastly, I noticed that at the bottom of the Windows Live Messenger panel there is an expandable video window. If you click "play" some very interesting video media is played. Actually there is a host of video subjects from which to choose. I chose the category of "music," and up popped a continuous stream of "way cool" R&B music video (which I expanded full screen with my power amp and speaker volume cranked up to the max).
