With web 2.0 application and AJAX application , I prefer to call this AJAX stuff as software itself. So just wanted to share with you guys, which net s/w you people use ?

I would love to see the standard forums to start using AJAX. For example, this forum could allow you to post a reply on a thread, and while you are typing, you would be able to see if other people posted. Also, when you do post, it wouldn't need to reload the page, it could just update the thread to contain your post.

Yes, you are right. If forum can be built on AJAX it would be just wonderful. It will save lot of bandwidth too.
I guess, if you have been using Google Groups 2, you are already using AJAX message boards variant. What you say ?
Gmail, the archiving thing is good, so, you never really lose anything important, just label everything important and its easy...
