The Specialists is a mod for half-life and is pretty old already. But it still is
a lot of fun. I actually found out about this mod some days before Christmas.

Now once I have joined this server and I didn't really know what it was about.
Usually TS(The Specialists) is just about fragging other people. And so I did on this server I just joined, too. Then after a while I realized that nobodz actually was attacking me. So I asked why and found out that it was a RP server.

Now this is why I like Half-Life so much. It seems to be so easy to mod it. (Not that I would be able to but others do it a lot.. so why should I bother ; -))

I don't think there is any roleplaying game existing which is likely this one.
And if so please tell me.
And I'm looking forward to see your comments about this mod : -D

I dont get how is this a roleplaying game ? Do you team up against another team throughout "maps" the half life style ? and just have "stats/skills" and ppl talkin instead of just shooting ? or ..

what i'm trying to say is, can u give out a bit more info on this game plz ?

Also.. a friend of mine told me of another multiplayer "rp" style variant.. Wolfenstein: Enimy Territory .. have u guys heard of it ? got a link u wanna share ?

The Specialist is fun..doing cool matrix moves and stuff, but it gets old after awhile....cs 1.6 is the best game ever

The Specialists RP.
With Amxmodx, metamod and harbuRPMOD http://harbu.ha.funpic.org/
you can make a RP server. Now you need MySql to save up all the items
and money people get while playing. You can give out jobs, people can
buy items, they can die of hunger or eat and so on.
Now with the HarbuRPMOD there already comes a bunch of plugins.
Like the cuffPlugin with what people who work in the MCPD(Mecklenburg
Police Department) can cuff people. Then there is also the TalkAreaPlugin
with what you can shout, speak normal, whisper and ooc (out of character).
Now that is basically how it works.
Then as the server admin you can create new jobs, items, and whatever.
You can code plugins for yourself and stuff.
I've set up my own RP server just to see how difficult it is.
And it's not difficult "at all" if you just understand the basics of amx.
