Do you guys buy genuine products like softwares, apps, games and the like?? Or you do buy pirated and download torrents or warez???
well, me... can't afford genuine. lolz! just being practical. why buy when there is FREE...

I use Open-Source, which is better than both of those put together.
Yeah I use open source also, and I get student discounts also.

But I'm pretty sure discussions about illegally downloading software are against the rules around here - check out the TOS. If you illegally download software, you get what you deserve when some really nasty virus posing as a 600Mb program totally screws your computer.
If you can't afford it, look at alternatives - I've yet to find something I need that Open Source software doesn't cover.
If you can afford it but just can't be bothered paying... well, pay. Or even try out Open Source - you may be surprised at how much you like it and how poor the "paid for" software is.
Prime examples:
Open Office / MS Office
MS Outlook / Mozilla Thunderbird
Windows Media Player / Media Player ClassicUmm.. this topic has nothing to do with computer problems. Moving this thread.

all depends on availability and cost
i would never even dream of having illegal appz, gamez, or moviez on my computer, nor have i ever been a part of any illegal activitiez or warez groupz in the past
