Keep 9800 pro or buy x1600 pro?

devroom
Hi

Im thinking (again) about buying new graphics card.
I have at the moment an 9800 pro 128mb
But because the newest games are not running smoothly any more,
maybe a 1600 pro (agp)?

This is just ment for an upgrade, over 1,5 years or something i probably will buy a total new computer.

Also i read the x1000 family is capable of coding movies and does it faster than your cpu Very Happy . Xtra plus because im the 1 in the house for making our homevideos.

please note the card is ment for an upgrade and my mobo has agp 8x

So... any thoughts?

Most of the new graphics cards are PCI-e. I would buy an Nvidia, but that's just me =)

if you are thinking of an upgrade, better go with a pci-e card. its not that agp is dead, but better get the best when you are upgrading. but then, you will have to upgrade your mobo/proc also. so its upto you in the end..

Keep 9800 Pro until prices drop. Always the best plan.
