Bob Woodruff tours the Google campus (movie, abc)
Bob Woodruff takes a look inside the GooglePlex and visits the offices of employees and talks with them. Very interesting movie.
Makes me wonder if apart from the free lunches (3 per day), playing with toys, joking about taking over the world, fitnessing, free barber services, free laundry, free massages, ... they actually work.
Brilliant, I always loved Google, but this is great
I think I'll apply for a job by Google when I finished my studies :p Seems a lot of fun to me...
Well, seeing their offices would make you think they don't work around there. But there products are realy good, witch proves the opposite
BlackSkad
Google gives it employees all those things , so that the employees will stay in office longer then thier acutal working hours ,
Its the google utopia! lmfao
Google has done very well. However...All the perks are only to distract the employees from the name "Google". I mean really, it sounds like something that stepped out of a cartoon swamp and started bouncing around promoting physical comedy. But hey, if it works it works.
They've got some nice ways to keep up morale there (although free food does come with the danger of overeating if reckless) and responsible people will work well (better? maybe) even with of the distractions there.
Daaam...thats pretty good...lol i'd so like to work with Google....but i heard u have to do some aptitude test and its really crazy like alot of numbers and formulas...
but dam its kinda worth it...
-free laundry
-free food
-bikes/ scooters
-work out bikes
-all the free time
-lol the google master plan
Hi,
Thanks for the link.
I do think that most of the things showed around the Google campus are just there for the peace of mind, just to make you sense that you're in control, that you have the choice wether to use a scooter or to walk, wether to use the fitness bikes or to eat, to work or just wander around and so on. You are "free".
But... after a while, do people still SEE these toys around ? Do they use them ? Do they still get paid if they spend half the day "playing" around ? I'm not sure.
Still, of course, I'd rather work in such a company !
no wonder I've been fired from so many jobs. If only they would have employed some of these useful tactics to keep me happy, I wouldn't have to bail on these companies. Keeping employees happy goes so far to increasing productivity yet most companies put their employees needs last. Every company in America needs to take a page out of Google's book and implement some of these ideas for their respective "peeps". Maybe I'll snap up some GOOG stock now too, seeing as how there's been a little slump from their missed earnings expectations.
Booya
Looks like they're putting the theory into practice: happy workers work harder.
So when can they hire me? And when they mean free food? does that mean I have access to energy drinks?

Microsoft does the same thing too according to mOrpheuS.
So, maybe I'll work for Microsoft or Google someday
Bob Woodruff is an assclown. "Do you guys need adult supervision?"
He's boring, too. I fell asleep during the video.
I could have given a better report!
Google is pretty cool, though!

Hey man, Microsoft uses these type of techniques from a long long time.
You should read "The Google Story", Googles biography, it's the best company biography/business related story book I've ever read, I sat for a good 3 hours in a bookshop reading it after I picked it up.
I would love to work there.
Ps. The food is all put together to form healthy meals, aka no overeating and death.
& fun fact, last year Microsoft CEO threw a chair across a room and threatened to "f*cking kill Google" :p
Many microsoft employees are transferring including...
...drumroll...
operating system designers
yup, Google OS is coming, bye bye Windows hello world domination
