you can try using php designer. it supports xml, but i dont know how good the syntax highlighting in xml is. but otherwise, its a small, powerful, and free editor.

or try using xmlcooktop

I would recommend the <oXygen/> XML Editor, which is available for win, mac, linux or the JVM. It can also be used as a plugin for the Eclipse IDE

It can be found at here

For a free editor, check out XMLFox at http://www.xmlfox.com/download.htm
Helios
For Mac/Windows i'd recommend using Macromedia's Dreamweaver.
You should buy their Studio. Really great software!

wow, glad l'm not on dial up for that image Neutral oh wait....yes l am Neutral that took like 3 min. to get the image half way loaded so that l could say that it looks a little like dreamweaver, l must admit, dreamweaver is pretty good if you use the code section of it Neutral when you start typing it will give you a drop down that works like autofill, and it completes a lot of code for you, keeping you valid Neutral does every language, Adobe is good (or was it macromedia who bought Adobe? Neutral whatever, it's one of them Neutral)

At work we use Microsoft Development Environment. We also have Dreamweaver and the good old Notepad.
