What software were you thinking of?
You can download the raw logs from DirectAdmin, in the Statistics section (it's called 'Backup Apache Logs' or similar). The raw logs will work in any program that takes standard Apache logs.
If you pay for VisitorVille, you can see all your visitor logs in 3D! It looks like quite an awesome program! It does cost money, though

Yes, you can use your own. We don't really care, just make sure they aren't resource hogs.
