I was wondering how the author created the graphic style of the bike, car, lady w/ surfboard you will see while navigating through the links. He said he used "trace" available in Flash, but is this also possible in Photoshop? Thanks.

The style is called " vector ". Pretty simple to do if you have the right program. The easiest way is to use Adobe Streamline. This program turns the whole image into black and white vector. Which you can save and add effects in photoshop.

Another way is to use Extract from photoshop. This option is only availible in CS and CS2. Just select what color you want to extract and it'll delete the rest while keep the shape and style. You can do it over and over again to extract certain part of the images and past them together later.

Hope this helps.

If he really did design that site himself (although it looks like a template to me), it really is a shame he has it hosted on Geocities...ugh.

Some people are very well with their graphics... But cant afford to have them hosted....

Macromedias Flash MX is a good program to make flash designs like that (if you know how to do it) ill look around and try to find you a good tut for it if you can get a copy of flash

Found this more complicated tutorial using Illustrator:

I'll check out Streamline. EXTRACT? Isn't that available in PS 7?

I think Streamline's been stopped? And I know they added Streamline's vector features to Illustrator. Or am I mistaken?

I accede. It's hard to type the uniform resource locator. The URL seems to be so long. Why didn't he selected the frihost as his free web space provider?

Hey, stop complaining about his host. That was a site clearly under construction. He just posted the link at another forum i go to to get comments and suggestions from the members, and I think he did a great job. Cool

Anyway, I tried to do the tutorial i posted previously and this is what I got:

umm... I'm not yet that satisfied. Either I do a much simpler "GTA" style image (which is more stylish, IMHO) or I have to brush up with my coloring skills. hehe

Anyway, thanks for all the help.

You can create the images in photoshop, but it's quite hard for beginners (don't know how good you are with photoshop).
Use your Pen Tool to create smooth shapes like the bottom of the website, and to create bikes etc. just open an image of a bike and redraw it with your pen tool by following the lines Smile
