Anyone remembers their first time playing openGL Quake? or firing up any game on a brand new Voodoo 2(3dfx), or even playing Mario 64 for the first time.
Personally, playing online for the very first time is the ultimate moment in gaming...900+ ping and all...
1. Playing Doom over a network, with three other co-workers.
2. Playing Wizardry I - it had walls!
3. Playing pong on the TV around 30 years ago.
4. Playing TecMo (or something close to that) Football on Nintendo.
5. Playing Leisure Suit Larry I for the first time.
Playing Descent 2 on 64 player multiplayer at the Lennox corporate offices really was something unparalleled.
Using the Jump attack for the first time in Final Fantasy 2.
Stepping onto the Hyrule plains in Ocarina of Time.
first the fact that games were playable on computers, good old black and green screen ones. 2D Graphics, allmost any age could play them. Then the shick of Color, oh how that changed the view on games.
The waiting untill new and amazing things to come. Allmost every time something new would come out I would spend Days playing, watching and just thinking about them.
I have spent a lot of my life spending hours and days just in awe of how games(and other tech) has changed over the years and how much it will change in the furture.
I truly hope that there will be many landmarks.
