I saw a google adsense ads on a site hosted for free by Geocities.Is this legal.
also i need to know if i use google on multiple pages(different roots) and if
one site does not comply to google standards will the Google ask me to
remove ads from particular page or suspend me

they will cancel you permanently for any minor infraction, and they will not pay you for anything you did in the month before it happened.
as far as ads on geocities. not all geocities sites are free.haha

Is that illegal? Hmm, I see it quite often, even on the free sites. Can that even be illegal? That's interesting when you think about it like this.

That site is free i saw yahoo ads at the sides.which is displayed on all free sitesDoesn't yahoo display their own ads on the hosted websites?
If this is the case, then google won't allow you to put google ads on those pages. It's against the tos.
i think google in it's adsense terms clearly described about display of its ads in free sites.. and i havent heard any account being disabled for showing up ads in geocities..

There shouldn't about displaying them on free sites at all. It's the fact that you aren't allowed to place google ads on a page wich contains competing ads, like those from Yahoo.i think no adversment on frihost
dont use geocities
i guess it isn't illegal as in you get fined or in prison, but i think it is against geocities TOS (terms of service).
I would rather post for a host and get quality hosting than cheap instant crap which is usless basically...

Well I'll say, That is new alright. I doubt it be illegal on a paid geocity site, But if it's a free geocities site. Then I pity the fool who put it up there. Also it may also be a phony add since Google has a policy on putting google ads on Free sites such as geocities.
