I'm Deesse Du Mystere which is french for Mystery Goddess.
I'm new here. I really love designing forum, cuz you learn a lot from people and meet cool peeps with the same interests.
I'm from Cameroon in Central Africa but I now live in the USA.
I love to draw anime characters (hot boyz mainly
), read manga, novels and stuff, love anything computer related, adore learning new languages (currently speak Ewondo, French, English, some German and Portugese, and learning spanish and arabic next on the list I'm going for Japanese) My sister says that I'm into programming only because of my addiction to learning new languages.
Let's see... what else is there to say...? hum...oh I love dancing! I'm member of Nubians International Dancers (of which site I'm currently designing so i'll need your opinions soon enough
).

That's a cool name. Is it your real name, or just a nick name or handle?
I like design forums too. Unfortunately, FriHost isn't necessarily a design forum :-p It's a developer's community. One of the perk's of being part of the (web) developer's community is FREE HOSTING! Yipee! haha.
I have a simliar interest with you: design. In fact, I'm a designer - - a Strategic Visual Communications (SVC) Consultant. That's cool that you used to leave in Cameroon! I know a friend that likes to draw anime, and read manga, the whole shebang :-p.
It's also great that you know so many languages! That's cool. Programming definitely has it's other languages, so your sister is probably right :-p. One thing I might suggest is breaking into XHTML, CSS, PHP, and other SSI languages. They can put your foot in, or get your feet wet in terms of being competitive with your design.
Also, to stay competitive, you may want to focus more on XHTML/CSS sites with clean graphics rather than flash. I would stick to flash as a great resource for intros, minor components, headers/footers, etc. Nowadays, a site should never really be made entirely using flash.
With XHTML/CSS you can then begin to practice control over Search Engine Optimization. This will also get your feet wet. You'd enjoy it - you can read up on Algorithms for SE Robots, etc. It's really a lot of fun stuff involved.
