Should I be pissed at the moderators here?

Ok this is what happened. I wanted to write a chain story here. http://www.frihost.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24520&highlight=. But the thread got locked, calling it spam. Come on now with minimum limit removed, I wonder how much points 3 words can garner?
Now I know that spam is a major problem here, but really everyone seems to be oversensitive to it.[flame]Especially dan751, considering he doesnt get anything to moderate, with omnipresent noobie.[/flame] If you are locking a thread, at least give the user time to explain his situation. And like with 600+f$ and 45+ points everyday do I really need to spam?

It's not really a FRIH$ problem, more of a problem that it's a stupid thread. Just, stupid.

Edit: It would also open the door to many potential spammers. Kinda like a porn thread. Actually, no.

shabda, I think you've seen tons of those topics in this forum.

They all generally get locked because we don't want forum games on Frihost as they are a huge source of spam.

Esp games like the three word story you made.

Post 1 - Once upon a
Post 2 - time, there was
Post 3 - a person called
Post 4 - Bondings. He was

and so on. You get it? We do not encourage those topics in Frihost.

I tried that crap when I first started here, too. I found out it's much more fun to start a topic that is highly controversial. It gets more replies, longer replies, and (at the expense of getting some of the 'weaker' members upset), spurrs emotion, which, in turn, spurs discussion.

That's how I built my fortune here.

I agree with you. I can feel your pain.

It's true.Plain stupid, just stupid....Those threads. They are very depressing.

i don't like chain story and it's really good and perfect for new or small forums that really-really need posts and the moderators and admins wouldn't mind with that spamy stuff.

with the variety of topics on this board + free web hosting, the need for a chain story makes no sense. there's literally just about any topic u could possibly want here. we got world news for those that want to yell at bush, or osama, sports, video games, computer probs + software, language forums(a first for me), etc, and a general for the other possible rants, such as this.

if you want a chain story that bad i suggest finding a chain story forum Very Happy
