This is a fractal that I did in GIMP. It's not complete, by the way. Do you have any hints on how can I improve it? Thanks!

I think it looks pretty good. The light and everything looks nice. I wouldn't change it.

Well I made some changes, and here is the result...

But I didn't like that text and border... I just made for a better presentation...
Thanks for the feedback!

It's ok. I still prefer the other one to this one. I must admit that the words make it look better though.
wow looks cool
does the rendering of such picture takes long on an average computer ?
I definately like it. Although I am not very fond on abstract images, this one looks quite neat.
Ooo I like it. Very nice work. I like fractals.

I have a AMD Athlon-XP 2000+ with 512MB ram and a GeForce2 MX 32MB and it takes two-three minutes... Not that long, and not that short...
That is nice.. GIMP seems to be very good.. I wonder how it actually compares to the good old photoshop..

I would say photoshop is more powerful, but gimp can certainly be used for smalltime graphics/photo edit. It has some cool effects and a thing called scriptfu. Scriptfu can do a lot of effects but photoshop is still far easier.
Man that would make an awesome webpage background!
I really want to learn how to do that in photoshop..
Is there any simple tool?
That's a fractal??! I love it.
I really love fractals, and I wouldn't have known that that was one if you didn't say so. I think it's gorgous, I love the colours, the shapes, everything. Great job.

Yeah, that's a fractal using flame algorithm.
"The Fractal Flame algorithm is a member of the Iterated Function System (IFS) class of fractal algorithms. A two-dimensional IFS creates
images by plotting the output of a chaotic system directly on the image plane. The fractal flame algorithm is distinguished by three innovations
over text-book IFS: non-linear functions, log-density display, and structural coloring. In combination with standard techniques of anti-aliasing
and motion blur the result is striking image variety and quality."

Did you actually read my post?
Very interesting! I would like it more if it was more colorfull.
good man, i almost can feel the heat only looking at those flames.
It's not a fractal at all! There is no redundant patern!

Yes, it is. Just read this article if you want to know. Link
Nice job there...looks kinda like plasma or goo...good job
that's very good!! i love the constract in the pic!
