I am the same way. I am just starting out. I think it looks good. Got some good detail.

The background, and the link box coulouring is all good, but the front page looks nothing but spam.

how did you put the templet up., I need help.

Pretty good- although slightly more content maybe?
Try SiteSpinner from VirtualMechanics- awesome tool to easily create web sites step by step. Has lots of templates too!
It even publishes your web site to the server automatically too!
