Can someone tell me what these words standing for letters are called:

A-Alpha
B-Bravo
C-Charlie
D-Delta
E-Echo
F-Foxtrot
G-Golf
etc.

It is known as the NATO phonetic alphabet, and is used by police and military along with others such as the FAA in America.

I think that's called the phonetic alphabet.

Or more precisely, the NATO phonetic alphabet.

Also known as the radiotelephony spelling alphabet.

The International Phonetic Alphabet is actually something different; it uses symbols to describe the sounds spoken in the human language (like th- and f- for example).

I never said a word about the International Phonetic Alphabet.
I know what that is, but that's not the one which is commonly referred to when someone mentions just "phonetic alphabet". (as anyone who has watched a hollywood war flick knows too well)

I know I linked to the NATO phonetic alphabet twice ... but it's referred to as just phonetic alphabet in one place and as "NATO phonetic alphabet" in the other.
