hey, i am building a website for my local basketball team and it is almost done, but i want to encorparate a forum. i found that the best option is phpBB but i dont know how to use it. do i just upload the zip file i downloaded to my website or can i view it through my computer?

download the file then unzip and read the installation instructions. it's very easy as long as you know how to chmod files

there is an easy way to install. use fantastigo in cpanel.

Download from
www.phpbb.com And download language pack from downloads if your language isn't english Unzip packets, copy language folder to phpbb/languages And send phpbb folder to your website with a ftp program. pll
If you dont' like phpbb, you have connectXboards (but is in french language)
But I use phpBB

Just upload it, and then go to the install.php url and follow the instructions it couldn’t be any easier
