I'm looking for a good (cheap) tool for creating web-based games to use as an alternative to Macromedia Flash. Either an alternate editor that produces .swf files, or an alternate plugin.
I have nothing against Macromedia Flash, its a great tool. But, I don't generally design sites which produce revenue or have much of a budget
so I need something cheap. Cheap to me is preferably under about $75 USD, max about $125 if its a good tool.
I would love something similar to Game Maker, but that produces games meant to be played in a web browser (.swf or similar). Or maybe a program that compiles from .gm6 to .swf. Or, as a last result, good file format specs for .gm6 (I don't think there is one available at all, though
Anybody know any?
