I was wondering how you make an animated avatar (maybe its called an icon). For the record, I have a Mac, that probably won't matter unless you refer some sort of software. Thanks!
Animated Avatars
1. Animated avatars are in the gif format.
2. You need to find an adequate gif making program.
3. Make two or more frames and set it to loop.
4. Upload it or find hosting.
and youre done.
The best free image editing program is The Gimp

on the gimp website under downloads

Thanks man! I still can't get over the fact that it is called "gimp!" Every time I think of that word, the image of that little gimp guy in pulp fiction pops into my head.
Well my Avatar that you can see with this post . I made it with Adobe Photoshop and image ready. And its really easy to make an animated gif in there.
