Create semi-transparent objects

To create semi-transparent objects select the object you want and the ungroup it by clicking Draw>ungroup from the "draw" tool bar
Once the object is ungrouped regroup it by selecting "group" optiom again from the "draw" menu.This action will convert the object into a microsoft office drawing object.GO TO format>object.under the "colours and lines" tab check the semitranspaernt box.Click ok

To do this in HTML (off topic but still awsome)
Create a new image in photoshop or the gimp.
Set the background to transparent.
Create a new layer.
Fill that layer with any color of your choice.
Set the transparency (or opacity) of that layer to somewhere between 30% and 65%.
Save as a .png image. (for this example, use the filename "back.png")
Use this code:
Code:

<table background="back.png" border="0"><tr><td>(your content)</tr></td></table>

Your content will be displayed on a translucent background. (you can see the site's background through it.


This will not work well with IE
