Two-Year-Old Receives Summons for Jury Duty in Massachusetts

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. - Kaylee Reynolds had a problem when she recently received a summons to serve on a jury. She wasn't old enough to read it.

The 2-year-old has quite a few years to go before she reaches the minimum age of 18 to serve on a state jury. Lucky for Kaylee, Massachusetts Jury Commissioner Patricia Reynolds seemed willing to let it slide for a while.

That was funny, but then two days later, I saw this in my local paper:

Girl gets carded

Michelle Whiteway is at an age when her biggest decision is likely whether to wear her black pants or blue skirt to school.
But, according to Elections Canada, she was expected to make a bigger call.

The 11-year-old from Kilbride was both surprised and a little amused when she received a voting card addressed to her in the mail.

And they say kids are growing up faster these days.. they are, but I blame the governments! lol

Clerical errors can create very interesting circumstances...
Then again, perhaps they were pretending to be older than they were in some context. (besides the two year old)

Well, they do say that the children are our future.

Or it's some sort of conspiracy.

Even though some may doubt the facts, if not for games like grand theft auto then maybe the children would not be as rebellious. When kids are coming down with PTSD ( post traumatic stress disorder ) Then we know that things can not be right. Social and academic stress is higher then ever. Stats even prove that kids have a harder time at school then their parents.

Who is this at fault? The government? possibly

Laughing That's mildly funny

The reason why she was considered old enough to vote is because of a defect in the census.
Anyone who's age is misread or blank in the census form, they put in july 4, 1776.. a date that they know is wrong.

This is not the case for everyone in the world, but yeah nowadays.
