Free blog clients requested.

I'm looking for some free blog clients. With clients I meen applications installed on my own PC where I make all my wisdom, with pictures and all, and from there post it with a click.

There's cat 1 I'm looking for. This app is creating all html code, so that It may be posted on any hosting without bothering with php/sql. A kind of WYSIWYG generator specialised on blogs.

Cat 2 - WYSIWYG that lets me type in my posts, and then uploads it to f.ex. blogger.com, that will say that this client is depended on a service (in opposite to cat 1, that makes all nessesary html itselves)

I tried Cumana , which is a cat 2 apps, but that app did not automatical upload pictures - only text. I've seen some comercial programs, but I will rather not pay 89$ when I know there got to bee som freeware that is better. I just need help to locate it.

So if someone knows about such applications, pls post link, so that I may check them out.

I suggest - WordPress is a state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. What a mouthful. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

More simply, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it.

Well, actually - I am using WP as my blogtool.

What I was looking for - is a blog client, that's makes life (writing) easier. WP's own writer is not very good. Limited choices in formatting the text/layout.

At the time I'm using w.bloggar http://www.wbloggar.com/ , and it works pretty well with WP. I liked Qumana, but that one did not work so well with WP Sad

This post was my attempt to find more interesting clients to test out, so that I (and others) will find the ultimate client.
