How much do you optimize your webpages for usability?
Some excellent sites to learn about usability are:
UseIt.com Look for the Alertbox column.
A List Apart Always has interesting articles.
Web Pages That Suck Often funny, and always informative, these wrecks of web design are provided so that you can learn what not to do.
Quite often, actually. It's loads of fun!
lol thanks for those links man....
im sitting here at 7am, high on chocolate covered coffee beans and havn't slept yet... going through the "webites that suck" site was pretty amusing..
(although im just a little bit crosseyed now after seeing a few of the worst sites i think i have ever seen...)
I am amazed at how terrible some of those sites really are, especially for being "professional"
now if you will excuse me, i need to try to focus on something other than text for awhile......
im having bunch of experiments to gain a good usability for my "under construction" website
I periodically run my pages through the WC3 validator as I update them and change them.
I have a firefox extension that automatically tells me what pages are compliant and which are not. It even cleans up my code for me!
Firefox has an extention--wow! I'll have to check that out, it sounds very useful.
That's the link to the extension I used. It's pretty great .
Thanks! I'll try it out.
