Need password protected page paying - 60 FRIH$

Hi FriHosters,

I need a password gate for my website, something were users can obtain the password and type it in, and get into the page.

What will happen as people will be able to get Games early, aswell as free demo's and screenshots of my upcoming games.

Now, I want people to register on my forums, so, once people register one my forums, I have created a forum where people who are registered, can go in, and get the code.

Then they should be able to go to the 'Preview' page of my site, type in that code, and enter a page where they can get free demo's of games etc.

If you can make me a simple password gate, i'd be happy to pay 60FRIH$, and a maximin of 80FRIH$.

I think I have an idea on what you are talking about. Do you want different pass's for everyone or do you want one username and password for everyone for that just one page.

Sounds fairly simple. Difficulty would depend on how your site was made. If it had content includes then it would be slightly harder.

Fairly simple with the script needing to check a encoded password and then set a cookie or session to tell the site that the user is logged in.

Cookie or session would need to be encrypted for security. A blowfish encryption should be fine for that.

I can make one for you if you are hosting on frih, and you can give me your admin name and password for cpanel for about 5 minutes....

these instructions assume your site lives on server 1.


(1) https://frihost.net:2083/frontend/bluelagoon/htaccess/index.html
(2) click on the name of the subdirectory (NOT the yellow folder icon) you wish to protect
(3) put a check in the first box (its the only one)
(4) enter anything in "Protected Resource Name "
(5) click save
(6) click go back
(7) add a user, enter a password, click add/modify, click go back
[8] repeat step 7 as often as you'd like unique users

If you want to add basic auth to a FILE the process is a bit more tedious.

This could be done in several ways, one of which being javascript. That would be my first choice, are you looking for something where it's a page with a password box, and you type the correct password to enter; or a small popup will prompt for the password?

If it isn't already done, then I could do it either way for you. I could also do a counter that adds up the number of times it's wrong, and after 3 it would stop letting you. I'd do it for a good 55 frih$, my over-generosity is taking a toll on my balance:).

Trying to be helpful, what do you think?

For all I know, someone could need some help, and I always love to offer my skills. If they don't need help anymore, then that's just fine. If they do, then they can get it. It's as simple as that.
