Im looking for a good CMS, what ones do you guys use?

I can only speak from my own experience, but I have had alot of fun using both PHP-Nuke and Post-Nuke CMS's.

They both have a large following and help for them is pretty easy to find. They also have alot of free themes available for them both and they both have a seperatly purchased piece of software called Auto-Theme that allows you to make your own theme in realtime and post it as it goes...if you want to that is.

As I said this is just from my experience, there may be better, easier, more feature rich CMS's out there....I just haven't used them.

Take care and Good Luck.

Ive looked at that, but i took bondings advise and downloaded xoops. Its ok right now, but its kind of hard to figure out. . .

I could suggest mambo server.. The Standalone Simple XML Application Server is now available via cvs on MamboForge. Please bear in mind this is the bleeding edge of the project and as such I recommend that only experienced users and developers investigate. The most recent additions are support for file based logic requests and RSS has been added as a protocol. With the introduction of RSS you can now view Logic results using the FireFox active bookmark feature, there are example files in the logic directory to demonstrate its use. Thats all for now, happy reporting.

Last time i was searching for a good CMS as well. I tried a lot of CMS and this is the best that I have ever found. It's called PHP fusion.

I would defintely recommend PHP-Nuke and Post-Nuke, from my own experience, but also Joomla!, some of my friends are using it and they are pleased with it.

Simple, that's it. And very fast too.

ive used joomla and e107. both are very good indeed. although e107 is a bit heavy, it has tons of plugins, themes, etc. and the admin interface is not that hard to understand

its a matter of preference really. try them all and use what you like Cool
joomla, drupal, xoops, e107 are all good CMS.
i personally prefer joomla, cos i am more comfortable with it. also i like the themes that are available for free with joomla. on investigating a bit further, i found that it was not that difficult to make themes with joomla. so, i use it Smile
am waiting for the code to be cleaned up a bit and for it to reach 1.1 and beyond.
have heard that drupal is a good CMS. when i last tried it ( long time ago ) it reminded me of a blog, also i couldnt find good templates.
e107 didnt have some special features that i wanted
havent tried xoops, will do so shortly Very Happy
