aah...what a lovely animal.
no really...I'd prefer to have it for a pet over a cat anyday. This one can atleast carry me to places.
I think that is a yak. although I might be wrong, I'm not sure.
It would have been easier to recognise if we had a full body shot.

p.s. - Although it looks more like a yak than a gnu, I have to agree with Bondings, it looks more unlike a yak than like it. but since I don't know anything more similar...oh well

In Belgium, next to a river. There were a few of them in there and this was the only one who honoured me with a look.

I am not sure.But this animal look likes to a water buffalo or mandate.
I have seen an animal that looks like to this one near the BlackSea .But It's skin color was dark black and it's horn was straight down.It was trying to swim near the sea and when it saw me ,it had started to chase me.

After looking on Google for about 10 minutes, I think it's called a "Highland Cattle". What does everyone else think ?

This is probably academic now BUT the picture was indeed a highland cattle as any Scottish member would agree.
I was about to state that but I got to the last post and someone had beaten me to it (over six months previously I might add).
Highland Cattle are the most wonderful creatures, when I lived in Scotland there was a field full of them a few hundred yards up the road and the kids used to love going to visit them and they would all come to the fence to be feed.
They are like Wookies with horns!

yep scottish highland cattle for sure. We have a few of those walking around in Denmark too
Yaks are way more massive, and their head just... differs, can't describe xD I didn't know how this breed was called in English, so now I know. Highland cattle, yay! *writes it down into brain* These bovines are exceptionally cute.
