HI!
I need a good ftp-program to upload webpage! Can anybody recommend a fast, secure and FREE tool for doing that?
Thanks for your answer!

If you're using Mozilla Firefox, you should download FireFTP from http://fireftp.mozdev.org
It's totally free and very lightweight (only 90Kb!) - just go to TOOLS > FIREFTP and it loads as a new tab. I've not had any problems at all using it with Frihost.
http://www.smartftp.com/
Free and have all of the "pro" features. I've used it for 4 years now, and reccommend it to everyone who wants a free ftp client. Maybe overkill if you only upload your web pages, but if you're going to download/upload from friends ftp sites, it rules.
Thanks for your tips. I just downloaded FireFTP and after a bit of configuring it works great and fast.
Did anybody hear about the ftp-uploader (http://www.ftp-uploader.de)??? Somebody else told me about that one!

Use FlashFXP. It's good enough.
i use cute ftp, i used smart ftp and it was good too. I used fireftp back then, but it crashes my firefox for some reason. I dunno if it's my theme's fault or I'm just ... i dunno...
Agreed 100% Thats what I was going to say, but seems it has already been covered!!

I downloaded it, but didn't have the need to use it so far. There is a free version available on the authors website. It's the same person that programmed Proton, the best text editor available, and Photon 5, the best free html(web) editor available. All three are available only in German. But looks like you don't have a problem with that. Ich auch nicht!
Back to ftp-uploader. It has functionabilities that go way beyond those free ftp tools mentioned here in the post. I don't use it, becauase I work in Dreamweaver and that does ftp, so ther is no need for another tool. For direct file transfer I just use the FTP functionability of the InternetExpolorer.

+1
just keep updating the version because it is getting better and evolving all the time.
Same here I also use Filezilla. It's freeware Opensource and is continiously updated and works great, what more could you ask for.
Seems like alot of people think the same thing, you should give it a try!
Ace ftp is free and efficient
this is one of the topics where flames where born...
well if you search for free software (or 'the best' of ...)
try:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm
its a great collection with good descriptions to free software to all kind of stuff...
Well since you didn't specify what OS you're on, on a Mac you could use one of a few things.
- Terminal (command line interface)
- Fetch
- Transmit
- Cyberduck
