Hi,
i'm using firefox, and i think it's great.
But when i close it, i get an error every time.
I'm using FF 1.5 (but got the same problem on 1.1)
And Windows XP SP2.
Anyone got any ideas.
Could you please give us some more information on the error, just saying it is "an error" gives no information at all.

Got this signature from XP.

Well I dont have a complete solution to your problem, but on google I found the following URL:
http://www.computerforum.com/archive/topic.php/29877-1.html
It is showing that your problem is not coming from firefox, as you can have the same with IE. I found many people having the same error as well and one of them found a solution to his problem here :

Look at the solution that worked for this person:

in internet options, go to the advanced tab and uncheck enable third party browser extensions. this will disable third party dlls ( kinda like a safe mode for IE.)
If it still closes, then as Singh400 said "Reinstall it" |
you should try this and let us know
This does not help me, this solution is for internet explorer.
And i don't have the problem in IE.
The problem is not hardware related, because i have the same problem on 2 systems. (it could be misconfigurated hardware, because the systems are identical, but no other problems here)
You could always try uninstalling it and re-installing it. (If you havent already)
Tnx,
I already reinstalled in the 1.1 version, which did not solve the problem.
But after your post i thought, i could give that another try, and for 1.5 it worked.

IE and firefox are the diferent things.
There is two ways to solwe this promlem:
1. (easiest, fastest, best) use opera (you can find it at opera.com)
2. ask for firefox support on oficial site.
create a FRESH profile.
start firefox
browse
exit
is there an error?
