Hear, hear!
They'd be more different if one was a toaster and the other a dissertation on metaphysics. Think about it.
They're the same but different.
Iceland does have a population of 300,000 which is pretty small compared to big American cities so it's a bit like Iceland's musical scene.
do you know another island Rock group??
Mum is from Iceland and had a huge influence on what Sigur Ros is today.

How did you get the idea of comarig them?
I have to agree with the majority here. Sigur Ros and Bjork sound NOTHING alike. Maybe the language, but that's just as bad as comparing Dave Matthews to Shakira. I'd also like to say that I enjoy Sigur Ros a lot more than Bjork, duely to their amazing jam outs in the middle of their songs. Good stuff.
yeh i dont think they are alike at all.
i love sigur ros there so peaceful,
ive never listened to bjork really, but what i have herd isnt as peaceful and its a different alternative style to sigur ros.
anyone herd We Are Sciecnst covering Sigur Ros lastest single(fogot what its called) its a brave attemp and actaully sounds pretty good.
Bjork's early material is very poppy, then she has steadily got weirder and weirder, but still her music is in about a five minute format and has a lot of electronic influences, whereas Sigur Ros usually produce 15 minute songs with lots of weird noises and orchestras.
