If you could change Windows Xp in some way what would it be?

I know that if i get the chance to change something about windows xp it would be the "search" within it. It goes entirely too slow. It should not be searching through every single file before it finds your results. I would advise microsoft to come up with a better method to optimize the search. Even mac has changed and now with OS X tiger, the search feature is blazing fast. Please share what it is that you would like to change about windows XP.

Then all of the other improvements would take care of themselves.

i agree;
the search function in XP is a huge step backwards then in 2k, even 98 maybe. it was a huge mistake to make the stupid search buddy / heavy GUI style non-(easily)-removable.

Yes the GUI of it is terrible. And you also have to go through soo many different options before searching for something. It should just be a search box and a few check boxes.

You can change it.

Open search and click on preferences, there you can alter it to the way you like.
