I recall earlier someone commenting on the fact that microsoft registered the domain name "live.com"
Perhaps this isn't the first you've heard of it, but they've come out of the closet about what exactly that is...
This is, of course pure Microsoft propaganda, but what do you think of it? Anything will be better than the current Hotmail interface!!!
I don't really see anything wrong with it to be honest. Microsoft are just updating their image, ditching the prodominant Microsoft tag and going with "Live" instaed. It's fair enough really.
I'll reserve judgement till I see it all finished and see if it works as it should, but it's mostly just window-dressing. Making it look nicer.
The name (Windows Live) seems to be an awkward decision. First when I saw it in the topic I thought they wanted to sell Windows on a live CD... (I hope they won't.)
Well, using "Live" together with an operating system's name means that, doesn't it?
I don't care anyway - I use Yahoo!Mail and ICQ for years now.
Microsoft "live" should go back in the closet. The closet should then be destroyed.
I was invited for the Live beta before it went public.
To be honest, I thought it was a nice improvement. Smoother interface. But it hasnt got me off of gmail/googletalk/gd/google anything/trillian
