I am using adsense for one of mysites and have another website(different) should i apply seperaely for it or just put the code in the new site.There is no link between the two ie one is not child page of another and viceversa

just put the code in the new site...... there is no need of applying separately for new websites, just insert the code.
One adsense account is enough for as many sites as you need.

Just out of curiosity, how much money do you aquire from the adsense program? I'm pretty sure its based on per-click (or at least the google search is), so how much would you earn each click?
Do the earnings vary in different websites, like, one hugely popular website earning twice as much as a regular one?

Vignesh, remember that if 1 of your sites would fall out of the Adsense policy and your account gets closed it will be so for both sites.
@Madsencarl, Adsense policy states that you cant tell how much you make out of it. But in general the cost per click depends on what the advertiser pays you for it. What ad you get depends on keywords, the payments vary a lot. In example some ads will pay no more than 0.01$ or so whilst others might pay up to 5.00$, which ofcourse is an extreme amount. Especially on bigger sites this therefore could lead to ad incomes of over 10k a month, but in general that's rare. The majority will have a hard time of even getting the first payout.

My friend tried to make a site for money and he made it so that the webpage constantly refreshed. Would that work? You see i'm not sure because i keep hearing that you get a certain number of cents per unique visitor, so does that mean you will only get money from that person once a day (or something like that) even if he visits like 10 times???

No, actually the fact is that there are cost per 1000 impression ads, which give money for every 1000 times your page is loaded or something.
Since the Ip address of the person will be recorded. You will get money for the first impression.
The other refreshes will be useless. They never give money for one impression that would be crazy.
