Use download managers with megaupload
-------------------------------------------------
The free hosting service megaupload has a bunch of advantages, which unfortunately are often overshadowed by the very slow download speeds (I am one of those people, but others have good speeds).
A solution would be to use a download manager, and FlashGet is recommended. Follow these step to get a higher download speed:
1. Open the megaupload link simply in your browser and start the download. This way you can find the actual path on the server where the file is stored. Copy this location.
For example, if I go to:
Code:
I find that the actual path to the file is:
2. Open FlashGet, go to Tools -> Site Explorer (or press F7), and put this path up to the last "/" in the address bar; it means leaving away the actual file.
In this example, this would be
Press Enter
3. On the right, there will be a listing of files, containing the file you want. (In the example, this would be "hostag.part1.rar").
Right-click on this file, choose download, configure your download, and you 're off!
If you do it this way, the right referrer will be added in your download configuration by FlashGet, which is kinda important.
Note: Only tested with FlashGet, but should work also with other download managers. MegaUpload only allows 5 connections per IP !. So if you want to do multi-connections Tongue... use 5 connections
I use it alot and it works
