printf("Hello World!\n");
return 0;
}
C++
#include <iostream.h>
int main()
{
cout << "Hello World!\n";
return 0;
}
C#
using System;
class HelloWorld {
static void Main(string[] args)
{
Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");
}
}
JAVA
class HelloWorld {
public static void main(String args[]) {
System.out.println("Hello World!");
}
}
HTML
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
Hello World!
</body>
</html>
FORTRAN
PROGRAM HWorld
WRITE(*,*) 'Hello World! '
END PROGRAM HWorld

document.write("Hello World!");
</script>
WIN32 API
#include <windows.h>
int WINAPI WinMain(HINSTANCE hInstance, HINSTANCE hPrevInstance, LPSTR lpCmdLine, int nCmcShow)
{
MessageBox(NULL, "Hello World!", "Note", MB_OK);
return 0;
}
PERL
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
print "Hello World!"\n";
PHP
<?php
echo "Hello World!";

Damns that is a lot of languages, so why did I type this? Razz
Ironz
lol, there's like 95% of those languages i've never heard of, i guess most of them are now outdated but then again maybe not. but anyway it's a nice and LOOOOOOOONG list.

Hey, you forgot Python.

print 'hello world'
headlong
And LISP!

What about GML?

All the 'Hello World's you will ever need Very Happy
I especially like these languages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hello_world_program_in_esoteric_languages Very HappyVery Happy

One of the best is Hello World in Malbolge (hardest programming language in the world, otherwise known as "Programming From Hell" Razz):
Code:
(=<`:9876Z4321UT.-Q+*)M'&%$H"!~}|Bzy?=|{z]KwZY44Eq0/{mlk**hKs_dG5[m_BA{?-Y;;Vb'rR5431M}/.zHGwEDCBA@98\6543W10/.R,+O<
Omax
No, that must have been the easiest language I ever seen.

Where the **** did he type Hello World? Razz

That looks easy... Rolling Eyes

I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. I believe it manually inserts the letters into memory or something (a really messy thing)...

Not suprisingly, it took 2 YEARS for the first Malbolge program to be written (the Hello World program), and it wasn't even written by a human! It was written by some algorithm!
yjwong
Two years?? Wow...that must be some sort of encrpytion and decryption for two years.
Omax
Haha, why do they even make that language?
They have to much sparetime!

The guy that made it wanted to make it the hardest language ever. As such, the language only has 8 instructions, which are encoded pretty weirdly

I think my brain can now program hello world in 500 and someting languages. Now I think I'll work on the project I'm doing for tech class about programming.
bboy_nycb
In which language do you like writing the most? I like Perl very much and it taught the basics of programming.
Omax
Well, that depends...
For webpages: HTML and PHP (Which I don't really master yet, or at all)

Programms: C++

I tried Java once but it totally sucked horseballs!
root
Java has almost the same syntax as C++..but I don't like Java either. Java is wayyy to slow. I prefer to code in C++ as well, and I use Ruby (on Rails) for web development.

I hate lisp. I took a course in it and despised it. As one of my professors once said, "No normal people us lisp" and "LISP = lots of stupid parentheses"
snowboardalliance
wow, those "esoteric" languages are pretty crazy. Like brainf***.
Zach Ownz
At school, we use VB.NET and its SOOOOOOOOOOOO much different than the other VB versions, its wierd, so at the beginning of the year our teacher didnt know a WHOLE lot about it... made a few of the students mad when they asked for help and he didnt know, but now he does pretty good.... except for when my form somehow went invisible... was wierd...

but yeah, the VB.NET version is SOOOOOO much different...
