If you can boot into windows, do that and open up a dos box. Run the command:
Code:
fdisk /mbr

If you can't start Windows then use a bootdisk and run the same command.
ml
boot from a winxp cd and type fixmbr and/or fixboot

2000?

A question. What's on the computer now? Are all three operating systems still there? Do you want access to them all? I just wonder why you want to be rid of lilo.
MWANGI
I have formatted two partitions out of the three existing ones using FDISK but I cannot access them and I do not know the reason why.

At the same time when I boot my machine it goes to LILO. I tried to go to command in windows 98 and type the command

Code:
fdisk /mbr

It brought an error message

'An Internal stack overflow caused this session to be halted.
Change the stack setting in your CONFIG.SYS file, and then try again'

Please advice on which settings to change in CONFIG.SYS or any other suggestions you may have.

Thanks! d'oh!

if u have no data left on the laptop and u want to get rid of lilo, try dban as a last restort

dban.sourcefirge.net

it wipes ur hdd (including boot sectos etc.). NOTE! dban is not like the windiws format.com that just forgets everything, dban ERASES yuor hdd iwth a military standard technqiue.
