WHO recommendation is a Croatian model bird flu prevency. Croatia have last year big problems couse few swans died from brid flue. But after fast actions bird flue is defeated.
Croatian model:
1. Active monitoring of all wild birds (this is important, specialy in bird migration).
2. On bird flu suspect all birds (wild and domestic) in erea of minimal 3 km must be eutanise and entire area must be decontamined.
3. All domestic birds must be in closed, appropriate tract.
4. All people in that erea must be protect, decontaminated or evacuate.
Birds are eutanise by special military or police force. They kill every bird in 3 km radius. Entire proccess was done in several hours!!! Speed is importent. Reporters says that biggest problem in decontamination in Turkey was that mens are payed per hours, so they did'nt hurry. I think thats unproffesional and immorally.
Also, last year was a sensational news bird flu vacine discover by Hungary. Other countries also have some vacine for bird flu. Why they dont send vacine to countries like Turkey???
