I'm a newcastle fan, been one for 10 yrs. I've seen Newcastle in their glorious moments (actually not that glorious, heh) and the down periods. The days when Newcastle was a ruthless attacking power, you can say that cos even the defenders go upfield to attack, and score. Heh heh, remember how Man Utd was trashed 5-0? 2 of the goals were scored by defenders, Philip Albert and Darren Peacock. There were the days when Newcastle was almost single-handedly destroyed by a man called Ruud Gullit. And the days where the great Shearer was resurected by the wise owl Bobby Robson. Right now, Newcastle isn't actually in a very good shape. Sigh, the stupid chairman had to appoint an idiotic manager, Souness.
Anyway, if u guys know about Newcastle, who do you think is the most important newcastle in the squad now? Well......i'm really reluctant to admit, but i think its Micheal Owen (the liverpool traitor) or probably the ever consistent and hardworking Shay Given (Poor guy who has to work behind a crappy defence).
Sigh, Newcastle used to be a team that always has abundance in the stirking department, but now its seems like none of the areas are strong. Defence suck, Midfield is inconsistent, and Attack....ah well....we had to rely on a bench-warming loser from Real Madrid.
Hey, a Newcastle fan!!. How is Albert Luque playing?. I think, currently he is injured, but he played some matches before.
In Spain he was a quite good player (although he was playing for Deportivo, a team I hate). Before being hired by Newcastle the sport press in Spain had been talking about the interest of Real Madrid also and any other top european teams.
Looking the transfers that Newcastle got lately I supposse they must be full of money 'cause they also hired Michael Owen paying more than 20 million of euros. 
Anyway, I'm a Liverpool supporter... Rafa Benitez's power!!!! 
Well it's good to see that the you can find the best supporters anywhere you look! I think that, although Owen is one of our main men, without Shay it wouldn't matter, we would concede twice as much and be down just above SUNDERLAND (Impossible to get worse than that!, heh). All the work Given does behind Bramble could come close to an hour and a half solid workout! He has never really let us down, maybe once or twice in hhis carear at Newcastle, and considering who is iinfront of him he has a very immpressive record.
The problem with the Newcastle Defence is that they don't gel very well. The are all good defenders in themselves, but they aren't allways sure on reliaing on they're team-mates. Compare this to Owen & Sheaer, who have an almost Pychic link between them. Although this probably goes back to They're England days together.
I Suppose the biggest problem of all would be Souness though. Bobby had a better record when he was sacked than Souness did at the same time last year. Freddy Shepard needs to get Newcastle United a real MANAGER.

But who would be a good candidate as Newcastle's manager.
Jose Morinhno is out of Newcastle's reach.
I'll be estatic if newcastle can get Bolton's manager Sam Allarcye. He has done a brilliant job at bolton!
Even Stuart Pearce will do better than Souness i reckon.
newcastle fans should back souness theres no patience he hasnt entirely had a full squad fit has he?
well.....I beg to differ. Souness doesn't have a good track record and thehas been in charge for more than a year already and he still can't gel the players together. sigh.....
well, Newcastle is a good club.. with some good players..
but at the last weeks she doesn't play good.. even, I can say that she plays bad.. but she has Shearer , Bellamy and some good others.. that will help her at this moment..
Souness is a joke. And whatshisname chairman is no better.

Yeah Newcastle is in an awful mess right now. Shearer leaving at the end of the season is not a bad thing either. Shearer has passed his prime and its time for him to progress on to coaching or management.
Right now, what newcastle need is a good manager ( and if possible a good club chairman too. LOL). Yes, the club isn't in the run for any cups or title and its league position is pathetic. But Honestly, i feel that the club currently has a decent group of players , whom with a good manager will be able to play a lot better as a team. Of course, the manager have to be one who can bring out the best out of his players. Example of such managers are Arsene Wenger, Rafa Benitez, Sam Allaryce etc.
Newcastle desperately needs a good manager for its rivival. I would say Bolton's manager Sam Allaryce will be an excellent choice. However, if such excellent managers are currently not available to newcastle, I would rather let Shearer have a shot at the manager's hot seat.
Being a newcastle faithful, I certainly think Alan Shearer deserves a shot at it. If he succeeds, its will be awesome. But if he does not, well, i believe that all newcastle fans will understand. Cheers. 
Wow! I found this thread in the FriHost vault, dusted off the cobwebs, oiled the rusted hinges and I've opened the box again.
It looks like the people who said they were fans on here aren't around so much now (I hope they havn't lost the will to live!) so I'll ask the questions again.
