Firefox Help!

Hello, I turned on my computer today and I have losted all my Favouites in firefox does anyone know how i can get them back i need them i had all my sites i need to go on in them and now they have all gone please soemone help. Thanks

u could try checking if u cleared the registry of ur url box. if u didnt some of the links would still be saved there. otherwise u could see ur internet explorer n see if there r ur links there as well...

the links have gone is there away i can get them back they dont come up in the favourites list i didnt delete any they were gone when i opened it up before.

FX 1.5 automatically creates backups. next time install the bookmark backup extension

Open your profiles folder (C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.Default) and find "bookmarks.html.bak" - make a copy of this file elsewhere (eg. your desktop just in case something goes wrong) then rename the file to "bookmarks.html"

This should fix it.

its already named bookmarks.html so that means i have losted them all doesnt it

^^ if there isnt a bookmarks.html.bak file, im afraid you have lost all your favourites. i also learnt the hard way to back up my bookmarks regularly. so as gonzo already pointed out, get ff 1.5 and the backup extension. you will not regret it

whats the link for the extension i looked on firefox and i couldnt find it. Thanks
