Do you think the .eu domains will become popular?
honestly? no, they'll be like .us domains, i haven't seen too many people us these types of domains. And they tend to be a lot more expensive then regular .com/.net/.org domains, so why spend the extra money?
ye, i like .net or .org .com is boring, every1 has them, .net and .org are uniquye and cool

Some companies may give you a free .info domain. By my knowledge you do have to give them your credit card number, but they won't charge anything. (to prevent abuse)
They do have costs to register your domain. They hope you want to keep that .info domain after the first year and then pay several times the normal (cheapest) payment for the following years.
which can set DNS
for example uni.cc
just like this http://e-net.uni.cc/
i'd better go for a 3 letter domains than those domains
the only 2 letter domain that i liked is .nu
by the way, is eu country-based?
As I know, RIPN could offer you free Top Level Domain Name like
COM.RU,NET.RU,ORG.RU ............
No free lunch
catch may behind
when you key in your
credit card numbers
careful ~~!
prevent always better than cure
is eu domain free of charge?

No .tk fan? Ok,ok, you can't sent DNS, but those Tonkelese people will weave you a house if you sign up.
Just kidding. Those tend to be worth more trouble than they're worth. And I think the .infos aren't free anymore.
I think the .eu's will be in vogue for the elitist Europeans who want to rub it in the rest of the world's face that they have their OWN domain. Nanu nanu. Either way, the registers will make more money. More power to em.
i think i'll register my family name once it comes available (gerbers.eu)
i dont know what it costs but it wont be much
the domain in the netherlands is already taken
.tk is sometimes really handy
i use it for schoolprojects or other things
but they give an annoying banner and a loading screen before loading the website
.eu domain ... hmm is it country bases?
for my opinion, it should be much more expensive than usual domain, such as .com .
i think i rather to choose .com .net or .org rather than .eu, anyway is good to have another alternative domain....
Owing to the popularity of the 3-letter domain name ends, I doubt very much whether a professional company will go in for a .eu domain name. Possibly, the only companies that may do so are those that are based in Europe and have a limited target customer base spread only in the EU (European Union). But even then, I doubt very much that someone's going to take a .eu unless it's not available in .com or even .co.eu (does .co.eu exist?)
I highly doubt they will come popular.. ppl will just stick with .net and .com
but i really hope they will become cheap like the infos were at first
remember... there's going to be a headstart for corporates to register their domains. That would mean that anything that will be worth anything at all will be taken.
I pre-reg one .eu domain name
but It still can't use now
