Hm I'm having trouble downloaded and making free templats work. Can anyone help me that would be great, thanks.

What template are you trying to download and form where. What do you want to do with the template, really all you hae to do to make them work is upload them to your website and fix up whatever you want it to look like.
IT would be good to know what templeate you are trying to upload and from where. Also to edit it, most likely its slice so its good if you edit it in a editor like dreamweaver or frontpage. THen just upload everything that came with the site. The index page and the images is what mostlikely came with it.
All templates should work properly, but it may be your computer, the template, or the host that's the problem.
