Trojan holds computer files to ransom. There's a new virus in town -
pgpcoder. It's MO is to encrypt files on your computer and then demand
payment of US$200 for the decryption keys.
BUT it lies! It does not use PGP to encrypt your files. It uses a much
weaker method which has been broken already. A utility to decrypt pgpcoder
encrypted files is available online.
nice one OnlyOnelife. me too.. my files arren't important.. but its surprising... this is the first time that i've heard about a virus that is demanding ransom for decription codes.. if that's the case, writing a virus with the same MO will make a lot of geeks rich..
