Who is your favourite film music composer?
Here is my top 3 list:
1) Ennio Morricone
2) Howard Shore
3) Hans Zimmer

I am not very aware of the International arena, but in India (My home country) some of the most famous (and my personal favourites
) are:
A.R Rahman -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.R._Rahman
Anu Malik
Shankar, Ehsaan. Loy
Yann Tiersen. He did the music for Amelie. It's classical and upbeat and the toon got stuck in my head for days (and it wasn't a bad thing).
I will have to go with Micheal somthing, The LOST music composer...
The clasics he makes for the show are amazing...
Ennio Morricone, no questions about it...
1) Jerry Goldsmith
2) Danny Elfman
3) John Williams
Ennio Morricone
Legend Of 1900
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Lady Caliph
Ennino Morricone too
the german guy Hans Zimmer .
the best by hundreds of au's is John Williams, he is da best of the lot.
Harry Potter
Jurrassic Park
all the classics
im gonna hav 2 half agree with you on that one leon, john williams is an awesome composer. i just loved his compositions from "The Time Machine"!
but I am going to have to say my favourite would be Klaus Badelt, because the music he wrote for Pirates of the Caribbean, which is absolutely sensational. I'm a musician, and our orchestra just loves to pull out some pirates music and play it. it makes everyone feel excited and makes everyone happy.
can't wait 2 c wat klaus writes for POTC 2!
I've got 2, no 3 compositors witch i like
1. Hans Zimmer for Back to the Fiture sieries...
2. Danny Elfman for Corpse Bride, and other Tim Burton productions
3. Mark Snow for Millenium, and The X Files main theme
And of corse I like John Williams for his Star Wars music

The best ever scores in my opinion are:
1. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
2. Star Wars
3. Once Upon A Time In The West
Seriously, Morricone is the MAN. He would get so much Pu ssy in Italy
John Williams
Howard Shore
Hanz Zimmer for the gladiator
Yukie Fujikaze for Naruto
James Horner (beautiful mind)
I love Hanz Zimmer, James Horner, Michael Lai and A R Rahman.
Maybe some of u ppl should go and check more than traditional Hollywood shi* EHM blockbusters
Yeong-wook Jo - Oldboy
Nobue Uematsu - Yea i know he composes for games (Final Fantasy Series, Chrono Triger...) but yet he is credited in Final Fantasy Advent Children movie so i can put him here.

I agree - he's grate!
Hans Zimmer for Gladiator - Elysium,
and for Batman Begins (very tense atmospheric in the film)
