Whats the hottest Type of Music
I think Hip Hop and Rap just because I like it and that's really the main reason but I want to see what other people would say.
Dutch Hardcore
Metal AND Rock are the best. But thats just my opinion.
You only listed four types. There are so many others worth mentioning.
any other options?? such as dance music?
Rock undoubtely... not all rocks though... classic rock (I mean by 50's, 60's and 70's) rules

From what I've seen, rock and hiphop is what's hot today. But both genres are GREATLY misleaded on its journey through the mainstream. Both have been corrupted by the same deviating forces suffered by pop (money, corporate, marketing, money, money, and more money).
What I prefer:
Rock is always a staple. Hiphop is also good if you know who to listen to. I also like Reggae and Electronica (ambient/house/chill-out).

I like world music... that is a great option too but on a poll esspecailly when it comes to international users. I voted Hip Hop/ Rap though because I like it a lot too!

Rock is my favorite, but I like hip-hop and jazz as well. Ballads come after that ( any kind of ballad, e.g. rock, blues, rhythm ).

you do realise rock has to win this, because it has so many sub-genres

Wow, you forgot a HUGE genre. Techno. Although I doubt anyone here actually likes it, it's one of the best genres out there. Beats your classical Il Divo or whatever bulls***.
But I love rap. The best music out there, hands down.
