I'm in The Internet Music Promotion Business/Post Election
Hi all! My name is Aaron Ridgway. I use the name LA_Ridge on the website that I work at http://www.musicforte.com/affiliate/la_ridge Anyone can join for free, whether you are musician or just a fan!
My site (when I can get one
) is going to be about music... The creation of it and the publishing of it, and just about any other topic related to music.
I will not be posting any downloadable music there because I work at a site for that does that exact thing. I will be working with people who are interested in making a career out of music! That is what I do currently.
I will be partnering up and affiliating, and there will be advertising on my site that I will need to fund this project. I am very curious to know how many people here are into making music? Whether you use a product like Acid, or play an instrument, etc. Most of my focus here will be about that sort of activity.
Also... We are putting together an affiliate program for fans to open up a "Music Store" to help promote their favorite Internet Artists at Music Forte. Some of the details are still being worked up, but you can join for free and listen all you want... You can even post your music and create your own web site there! Come by and check us out! My affiliate link only means that you are joining my network group, which means that I can give you personal attention on making new music and promoting it!
I work as an Internet A&R Director for the site, as well as my duties as Chief Editor, so I CAN really help you if you have that desire! But it takes work! I am willing to go as far as you are...

Another thing... I am VERY excitable and motivated! I like to share what I can to help. My opinions are not proof that I know CRAP! That is why the guy has his head up his rear there, because I don't want to have people get all upset and start thinking "Who is this guy who posts all over and acts like he knows it all?" I do not know it all! And when I get on something I GO FOR IT! Especially a good forum. So don't take me wrong and I will be careful too. Cool? ( I still know somebody will get P.O'd at me anyway, but???)

My site here should be really cool also... Lots of info on music, music reviews, fan stuff like clubs, etc. and how to make your own music and maybe even sell it! Now that's fun!!!

You know what... It's really nice that people are coming by to shout out! I have gone to quite a few of the sites here that I could find. I have been looking for ways to help out here and there. I have been working on my site tonight, and I have to remember to keep it simple or I will never get it done! I have done that every time I want to build a site. I get all involved in graphics and fancy pants flash stuff and I get lost in the translation somewhere.
I am going to focus, focus, focus, on content this time. I just need to work up the general outline and stick to it. Easier said then done though...

I think you overestimate the niceness of people here... they pretty much are all just doing it to keep their posts up and not get dropped from hosting...

Cool Tang! Contact me and maybe we can get some things together. My brother, I don't believe that people are too much more than the actions that they present. People want to be nice, but they have no idea how. They want to communicate, but communication is barely taught in public schools! In fact in the big city real communication is avoided. I was raised in Los Angeles, but have resided in Arizona for some time. In California cities you don't even look into another persons eyes for fear of some retaliation. It's less like that here, but is comforming to that slowly.
I knew another Tang in another forum. Tagmo, actually. Quite the self centered individual.
You don't appear that way. If I were a true self serving person, I would assume all people named Tang are a-holes, but I don't think that. I even think the other Tang might have been a nice person in another life...
This forum can be about a lot of things Tang. The gift of server space being one, a very nice perk by the way! But forums are forums. Jack-off's come to forums and well, uh... Jack-off! While masturbation is cool by me, I am not here to participate in a circle-jerk. My intention is to be here for some of these kids that need and older, wiser person around who thinks they are cool just the way they are! That's being honest. Yeah I throw out options, but what they do is part of the process of growing up, and it's all good! Communication is what I hope to teach in the long run here. The rest of it is just my "personal" experience and has nothing to to with what others have lived. If what I say sounds like it might work... Great! The same things don't work for everybody, just some-body.
