Ram Difference?

KHO
Is there a difference between DDR333 SDRAM and just DDR SDRAM???
Naif
No. The 333 is just the speed. DDR modules come in various speeds namely: 200, 266, 333 and 400 MHz. Saying just DDR SDRAM doesnt tell you much. The specification of the speed of the module is a must.

ok, and two more questions, how can l know what ram is compatable w/ a notebook? this is what l was looking at, for this notebook. Would it work?

And is using a lower or higher speed ram than your system came with bad for it?
KHO
OK, l've found that for the ram to work, it must be SODIMM(this is what all notebooks take) and for this specific notebook, l can have any DDR SDRAM, so l've found what l need, just thought l'd post that for anyone looking around for a quick answer to this same problem. Neutral
