Happy Holidays

silliman
Aloha Friends,

I'm still exploring the FriHost environment, trying to get a feel for the sense of "community" that the Admin Team & Management are trying to engender. I understand that it's difficult to achieve; notwithstanding, it's the "glue" that keep members and visitors active and keeps them exposed to your corporate sponsors and ads.

Yahoo has been able to engender a sense of community quite successfully. One way in which they have been able to achieve some of this success has been through and by design. They have a feature that enables community members to congregate or "hang" (as my teen daughter would say) by country, city or language.

People throughout the world generally express pride in their ethnicity and country of birth. Hence, if (down the road) FriHost adds an option or feature of forums by country, city or language, there might be a greater sense of "community" beyond that which "topic of interest" can lure.

Anyway... just a thought,

Mark
