Is There a WordPress Expert in the House?

After a depressing start last night, I'm now anticipating having a lot of problems with WordPress. Right now I'm trying to figure out what's going wrong when I try to restructure the Permalinks.

The WordPress "support forum" doesn't seem very active. Many questions remain unanswered. Are their people active in this forum who has a lot of experience with WordPress? I don't want to post a lot of questions when there are only one or two people who might be able to help - that's too demanding on their time.

Also you can get some help in the PHP club.
