Yip, I'm a big fan and also played for quite some time. I might get beaten for this comment - But one of the reasons I prefer rugga to football is that the aim is to constantly move forward......I've watched a few Soccer games where guy kick back and forth for like 10 minutes before trying to to make ground.

That is actually a very valid point, moving forward, never thought of it like that! I have become so dis-illusioned with professional football of late Rugby is becoming more prominent in my mind.

I played Rugby for Kutztown University in PA, USA. Big fan of the ALL BLACKS for no other reason then my dad was in New Zealand and brought me back an official jersey.
I really enjoyed your quote....kinda true. I must say, when it comes to fans, rugby is a MUCH safer sport. Every sport has some bad incidents, but I think very few come close to soccer (football).
We're hosting the Soccer World Cup here soon.....good for the country and tourism, but some people expect quite a few problems with the fans..>Hope all goes well, so we aren't embarrassed on the global arena. We did a good job at the rugby world cup, but I think Soccer may be a different ball game (Indeed it is...smile)
