All in all, a good speach by the pres. Kudos for him getting some back-bone and smacking the lieberals with the cold, hard facts.

Attn: Lieberals... time to step up the fight against Bush! Find some new lies, new attacks, and more negative aspects of positive events to try to sway the world from the truth.

All your hard work trying to send him (at the cost of this country and the free world) into the toilet are going to fail.

Again. Wink

yeah, if a conservative republican wins this election, I'm probably going to move to Canada. Seriously.

By that time I will have my degree and will be ready to settle down somewhere, and Canada has it's head in the same place that I do, and I'm really exhausted of trying to trying to argue logic against belief. I'm ready to live amongst people that overwhelmingly support the same ideals that I do, instead of in an intensely divided bicker-fest.

No your not. All you whiners say that and never do. Yuo know Canada sux and so do Canadians. You know if you go over there you will loose the biggest part of your identity, your status as one of the enlightened few! What will you do in a land where your not so much smarter than everyone else?

And, oh yeh. They will hate you over there.

You're very amusing. Do you do that intentionally or is it something that just comes to you naturally?

One the one hand, you say sh*t like "Canada sux and so do Canadians", and that moving to Canada would make you lose your identity as "one of the enlightened few", and more shit like "your not so much smarter than everyone else", and you expect the Canadians to love you?

Rolling Eyes Do you see some reason here? Or maybe it's just me thinking too straight.

And one of the "enlightened" few? Laughing
Majority of the population is still in the dark about the "real" reasons behind the Iraq war, they still fail to acknowledge fear propaganda, etc etc, and you claim to be the "enlightened" few?

While I agree that Canada has some 'issues', (as do we all) I agree strongly with lib. (Damn, I think I've agreed with you too many times today... I've used up my quota for then next month. Wink )

Let me clarify things. I admit much of what I wrote was out of anger with a spoiled whiny B*TCH that doesn’t realize that he is living in a very unique time and place throughout history, free and civilized, and doesn’t care that countless people have sacrificed everything to get us here. Go live in China or Africa for a few weeks. I promise you’ll never want to leave again.

Also, what I meant by “You know Canada sux and so do Canadians” is the Canadians know Canada sux. Not the Canadians them selves. That’s why they all come here when they get an illness that requires more than a prescription or when they become educated and want to do something with their life.

Additionally, I don’t claim to be a member of the “enlightened” few, more like the “non-obvious-fact-ignoring” many. I am constantly reminded throughout the day of my unenlightenedment (is that a word).

Finally, agreed, majority of the population in the dark about the real reasons for the Iraq war. But that is because the majority of the population is in the dark. They aren’t interested enough. The reasons are numerous and or obvious.

Almost forgot. I just assumed Canada would hate the little fellow because I though everyone hates Americans. The media made me.

Actually, I did live in East Africa for a few years,a nd I absolutely loved it. I didn't really want to move, but had to. However, I don't suppose it's the urbanized, exotic part of Africa you are referring to, so I'll let this go right here.

Not yet... but what the heck, you did get your point across, and that's what matters I suppose.

Too true. People mostly just believe either what they want to believe or what their mummies and daddies or uncles or aunties or ... (you get the picture) ... want them to believe.
However there is still such a thing as free thought, but the deplorable thing about the present scenario is that there are very few who even exercise the "thought" (about anything)

Wow, That's harsh. I gotta say, I'm having a hard time keeping myself from rising to your bait, but I think that knowing that yours is the type of attitude that I'd be leaving behind is pretty comforting if I did decide to move to Canada.

I don't know where you get your info, comparing Canada to Third-world and poverty stricken nations, but Canada is extremely economically balanced and very livable. The standard of living there is on average much higher than in most places of the US.

Lastly, I'm willing to make a small wager that the US will vote liberal in this next election, but if we don't we can expect more money spent on military and economics, and increased cuts to education and health care.

These are the reasons that I will leave, I don't want my children growing up in a country that advocates military might over intelligence.

As far as forsaking freedom, the US is one of the less "free" democracies out there, Canada doesn't have a Patriot Act, for one.

I lost most of the patriotism that I had when Bush was re-elected, anyway.

Money spent on military is fine with me. More work for me. As for education, it's so ef'd up already I will be private schooling my kids. As for health care, it should be/remain privatized. I'd hate to see our health care system be anything like that in Canada.

I'm not saying Canada is a third world country. Have you ever been to Canada? I'm saying that if you want to DO anything. Like investigate new treatments for illnesses or do research in other areas you are not likely to do it there.

You should leave now fair weather patriot. Actually, you are not even that. Patriots are steadfast under all conditions. Even when their conservative war mongering God fearing president won't let them marry their boy friend. You have not idea what you have and you don't deserve it. Go salute your maple leaf as I imagine it's all the same to you. Just a pretty lawn ornament.

With regard to military might over intelligence you just need you sit quietly and listen because you don't have either.

America also has more power so of course it must take more responsibility.
